We'll also use this opportunity to chat to residents about the future of the Pine Mountain Quarry.

A couple of months ago we got in touch to ask you to have your say in Brisbane City Council’s consultation process for the future of Pine Mountain Quarry. As your Greens candidate for Greenslopes, we’ve heard from hundreds of people who want more native bushland, green space for families and to turn the quarry into a natural swimming hole like Enoggera Reserve, which the Greens have been proposing for some time.

It’s clear no one wants major commercialisation of this area. However, in recent weeks we’ve heard the Council is considering turning this site into a “luxury hotel, theme park or tourist attraction.”

Whether you want to join this discussion or just stop by for a free feed, everyone is welcome to come by for a meal and a chance to connect with other school parents and community members. We’ll have vegan and gluten-free options available, plus fun activities for the kids.

We know times are tough with prices going up, so take a break, grab a picnic blanket, and enjoy a free meal!
